Emotional Intelligence (EI)

Elizabeth Domangue is certified to administer the EQ-i 2.0® and EQ 360®.

Once the assessment has been completed, she will debrief with the individual or teams to better understand the individualized report.

She will work with individuals and organizations to create tailored plans to support the awareness of emotional intelligence, the impact of EI at work or in personal life, and strategies for addressing low and high areas of the scales and subscales.

Emotional intelligence (EI), according to Daniel Goleman, is the highest predictor of success in life and career.

What is Emotional Intelligence?

Dolly Parton said, “If you don’t like the road you’re walking, start paving another one.” Emotional intelligence works the same way. Once you have an understanding of your emotions and the emotions of others, you can then manage your responses to those emotions.

Everyone experiences emotions. It is what we do with the range of emotions that impacts us personally and professionally.

“EQ is so critical to success that it accounts for 58 percent of performance in all types of jobs.” (Travis Bradberry & Jean Greaves, Emotional Intelligence 2.0, p. 20)

Can a person become more emotionally intelligent?

Yes. With awareness, intention, reflection, and coaching, we can learn to have “better” ways to manage our emotions.

With this awareness, you can become more successful and experience a more satisfying and joyful life.

Can my team or organization become more emotionally intelligent together?

Yes. When individuals and teams work to understand their emotions and the emotions of their team members, the organization can experience better responses to emotions. This leads to better decisions, the ability for members to be aware of how their emotions might be impacting others, better interpersonal communication, higher levels of empathy and understanding, and increased productivity and desired outcomes.

This individual and collective emotional response awareness requires teams to engage in executive coaching that is grounded in the outcomes from the EQ-i 2.0® and EQ 360®.
