Holding Space for Both

Mar 13, 2026

Being kind and holding people accountable for high performance are not mutually exclusive…in fact it’s the highest form of caring and impactful leadership.

The best leaders I have worked and learned from hold space for both, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have had many models of this kind of leadership in my life.

The leaders who shape organizations and people most deeply are those who combine genuine care with unwavering expectations for excellence and what is possible.

What might change in our organizations (and world) if more leaders embraced both with equal commitment?

Is this reality possible?
