“….your one wild and precious life?”

Mar 4, 2026

Spring has come early this year in Colorado. Crocuses are rising from the ground, and the daffodils are blooming. The grass is green unusually early. The year-old swans are practicing their flying, preparing to soon leave their home and make space for the next set of cygnets.

As Mary Oliver (my favorite poet) wrote in The Summer Day, “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life? If you have a minute today, I hope you’ll take time to read her poem. It is timeless and grounding in the way it invites us to approach each day.

What will we do with these days that will soon be filled with more light?

What will you pay attention to this season?
